This townhome has all of the charm and architectural character you'd expect from a German Village home including rustic, original pine floors, beautiful unpainted woodwork and moldings, newly designed and renovated bathrooms, tall ceilings, and comfy yet elegant decor to make you feel right at home.

There is about 1200 sq. ft of living space inside the unit, which includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Each room was designed and decorated by the owners with a mix of high-end furnishings from Crate & Barrel + Restoration Hardware, antique/vintage finds, and fun artwork.

Fully stocked kitchen with granite counters, shaker style cabinets, and simple black appliances. Private fenced-in backyard with patio and gas grill is an urban oasis, perfect for enjoying outdoor time with friends and family. The local grocery store, Giant Eagle, is less than 3 blocks from the house.

The living room features a large Chesterfield sectional, and a 50" LED TV hooked up with Roku 2, Sling (cable streaming app with 20+ cable channels including HGTV, CNN, AMC, Disney, Travel, and more) and Netflix. There is NO standard cable service such as Time Warner. The dining room features a rustic dining table with seating for 6 - perfect for gathering for a meal or playing cards.

The home has 3 bedrooms, each with a Queen memory foam mattress with white cotton linens.  Also in each bedroom is a Marpac white noise machine, luggage rack & clothing hangers.

Two newly renovated full bathrooms are located on the second floor of the home. One bathroom features an antique clawfoot tub/shower, and the other features a walk-in shower with a bluetooth shower fan (singing in the shower is encouraged!)

German Village is a vibrant place to stay, shop, and play. Walking the brick sidewalks, you'll discover a neighborhood full of urban gardens, beautiful historic homes built over 100 years ago, and carefully dispersed small businesses. As said on the German Village visitor's website, “What we have can't be replicated. We live this way — and protect it with great passion — because we understand that what we have is a neighborhood like no other." We couldn't agree more.

Schiller Park is the main park in the neighborhood and is located less than one block from the property, making it easy to go for a walk/run, have a picnic, bring the kids to the playground, and enjoy free performances of Shakespeare in the Park in the summertime. The park also has basketball courts and tennis courts.

This Townhome is a short walk to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and the famous Jeni's Ice Cream. It is also less than 5 miles of the most popular attractions in Columbus:

1 mile to Downtown Columbus and Nationwide Children's Hospital
    2.5 miles to Convention Center
    3 miles to Short North
4 miles to Ohio State University
    5 miles to Ohio Stadium

Grocery/pharmacy, coffee shops (including Starbucks), and restaurants/bars are all located within a short walk of the townhome.

There are buses that run throughout German Village, but we'd recommend having a car if you're looking to travel around the city, as they aren't always reliable.

The one bus that we'd suggest is a free CBUS circulator bus that runs from High & Sycamore (.8 miles away - 15 min walk through the Village) up through Downtown and into the Short North. Lots of people take this bus (more than the standard bus service in Columbus), it's on time (usually!), and runs every 10-15 min 7 days a week. For more info & route map, search the web for "COTA CBUS Columbus." Or, ask us and we'll send it to you ;)

Taxi's and Ubers are also available to bring you where you need to go if you'd like to avoid having a car.

Guests have access to the whole home (except for the basement) and private backyard, as described in the listing.

We have keyless locks on our doors, so guests can check-in late as needed.

We encourage guests to ask us questions and communicate w/us throughout their stay if they need anything at all. We're always happy to help!

1 - This is an end-unit townhome, which means that there is one shared wall with our neighbor. Our guests must be conscious of this during their stay and keep noise to a minimum at all times. As always, we DO NOT allow loud, disruptive behavior and ask that all guests observe quiet hours between 10pm - 8am. This is not the house for you if you are looking to have a party or bring the party back with you. Registered, paying guests only.

2 - On-street parking only (usually available in front or within a few houses of the property, but not guaranteed). There is NO off-street parking available.

3 - While the bathrooms are newly designed and renovated, they are on the smaller side.

4 - All bedrooms and full bathrooms are located on the 2nd floor. There is one small powder room located on the 1st floor, off the dining room.

5 - As a general rule, pets are NOT allowed at this property.

    what guests are saying...

Adorable cozy home in German Village

“Catherine and Bryan have a wonderful house at the edge of Schiller Park in quaint German Village. It's a quick walk to most of the restaurants and shops and a short drive for others. The home is clean, inviting, very cozy comfortable and tastefully decorated. I would absolutely recommend staying at Catherine and Bryan's home in German Village." — Diane B., HomeAway

    Great Stay!! Highly recommend!

“We loved our stay in the townhouse. The home is beautiful and was exactly as described. We loved being able to walk to restaurants, park and the grocery store. It was a short drive to the Convention Center. The owners, Catherine and Bryan were a pleasure to work with. They gave us lots of restaurant suggestions and were very responsive during the whole rental process. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in Columbus!” — Colleen F., HomeAway

    Warm, comfortable stay.

“I almost don't want to tell everyone how great this rental is, for fear it will not be available for us to stay when we return to Columbus. That would be unfair to Catherine & Bryan who have thought of every detail and created a warm, comfortable home that is a delight to stay in. They are responsive and easy to communicate with. The off hours check in and property access are a breeze. The bed is comfortable and all the essentials are on hand that anyone would need. I recommend this property and its terrific location.” — Kathie, Airbnb
